The Spirit Room is the debut studio album by American recording artist Michelle Branch. It was released in August 2001 by Maverick Records, spawning radio-hit singles such as "Everywhere", "All You Wanted", and "Goodbye To You". The lead single, "Everywhere" became Branch's signature song and was one of the most popular songs on the radio in September 2001, by the time the United States was under terrorist attacks. The album's second single "All You Wanted" became Branch's most successful solo-single in the United States, peaking at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, but was unpopular elsewhere. The third and final single "Goodbye To You" received a well amount of radio airplay on CHR, but peaked at number twenty one on the Hot 100.

In January 2002, it was certified gold by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 500,000 copies, however by April of that year it was certified Platinum for selling over one million copies. In August of 2011, it was certifed double platinum for selling over two million copies.
