Caution is the fifteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey, released on November 16, 2018 by Epic Records, her return to Sony Music after a fifteen year long stay at Universal Music Group under Island and Def Jam labels (2002-2018). It is her first album in four years after releasing Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chantuse in May 2014 under Def Jam.
On this album, Carey has collaborated with Nineteen85, Fred Ball, Poo Bear, Timbaland, Skrillex, DJ Mustard, and among others. In total, four singles were released, "GTFO", "With You", "The Distance", and "A No No", three of them being promotional singles.
Caution has received acclaim from critics, becoming her most positively reviewed album since Butterfly (1997) and The Emancipation Of Mimi (2005), most of them complimenting the production and cohesiveness of the record.
After revealing her battle with Bipolar II disorder since 2001, following her hospitalization and the disastrous releases of Glitter and it's accompanying film, fans desired to give justice to the Glitter album, tweeting "#JusitceForGlitter" helping it appear on a variety of charts, most notably reaching number-one on the iTunes charts worldwide.
